Organised by Ilona Gurjanova, the dynamic President of the Estonian Association of Designers, the public meeting “EIDD meets Estonia” was held today in the premises of the Estonian National Chamber of Disabled People in Tallinn.

Opened by Estonia’s Minister of Social Affairs, Maret Maripuu, the meeting attracted a key audience of representatives from all walks of life in Estonia, including the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, the design community, the business community and the disability community. Lively discussion followed the addresses from EIDD President Pete Kercher and EIDD Vice-President Finn Petrén.

The EIDD representatives then attended an ad hoc meeting with leading tourism entrepreneur Tiit Pruuli, discussing the EIDD Tourism for All Conference on 28-29 June in Milan, before an interview session with Estonia’s leading design magazine, Ruum
