Cumulus, the International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media, has adopted a declaration committing its members to share global responsibility for building sustainable, human-centred and creative societies.

The Cumulus Kyoto Design Declaration was signed on 28 March and endorsed by ICSID, Icograda, BEDA and EIDD - Design for All Europe. The EIDD endorsement marks the beginning of a closer relationship and collaboration between Cumulus and EIDD, said the presidents of the two organisations, Christian Guellerin and Finn Petrén, in a joint comment.

The Kyoto Design Declaration 2008 was the highlight of the Kyoto Design Conference, the first Cumulus conference held outside Europe.
